Highlights of Rome

Your driver will pick you up at your ship at 8.00 am and drive you to Rome, (approx, 1:30 hours). We will meet directly by your ship, and then we will accompany you to the centre of the city where we will start your private tour. Our first stop will be the famous Circus Maximus . We shall then continue on to come upon one of the most recognized monuments,The Coliseum.
Obviously we will go directly through the entrance gates without waiting in any lines.
Once you have dicovered the Coloseum, we will head towards Venezia Square, ” Altar of the Nation” also known as “The Wedding Cake. We will visit The Forum of Caesar, The Forum of Trajan and ascending up Capitoline Hill,you will be able to admire the splendid panorama of the Roman Forum.We will then continue on to The Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain, where there is an age old tradition of throwing a coin into the fountain, guaranteeing your return to Rome. After visiting the Trevi fountain we suggest a lunch in Navona Square, where the famous “Fountain of Four Rivers”, by Bernini, stands in the centre of the square. After your lunch we will visit,The Pantheon, Saint Peter’s Basilica and then make our way back to the boat.
During the tour you will have a car or van at your disposal with your own personal driver-guide, fluent in English. He or she will be able to provide you with further knowledge of art and history and interesting tid-bits that will satisfy all your curiosities and quench your thirst for knowledge!!
Highlights of Rome does not provide a visit to the Vatican Museums. This tour is conduct by an english speaking driver that will not enter in the sites but drive you around and show you places, pointing out things while driving and explain what they are, stop at the places that require a visit and help you visit them.

Meals and entrance fees for museums and monuments (where required) are not included.
