Rome sightseeing tours

Your  driver will pick you up at your hotel at 9.00 am and drive you to centre of city, where we will start your private tour. Our first stop will be the famous Circus Maximus . We will continue on to come upon one of the most recognized monuments,The Coliseum.
Obviously we will go directly through the entrance gates without waiting in any lines.
Once you have discovered the Coloseum we will head towards Venezia Square, " Altar of the Nation" also known as "The Wedding Cake.  We will visit The Forum of Caesar, The Forum of Trajan and ascending up Capitoline Hill, you will be able to admire the splendid panorama of the Roman Forum. We will then continue on to The Spanish Steps and the Fountain of Trevi, where there is an age old tradition of throwing a coin into the fountain, guaranteeing your return to Rome.  After visiting the Trevi fountain we can make a short stop in Navona square where you can admire the Four Rivers fountain designed by Bernini in the centre of the square. Afterwards we will continue with a Vatican museum tour given by a professional tour guide which also means no time wasted waiting in line, which sometimes can last for hours. The guides are extremely professional and experienced and will guide you through 9 miles of a breathtaking collection of art, the famous Michelangelo’s creation of Adam, discover the Sistine chapel and marvel at Raphael’s rooms. The overwhelming beauty of Saint Peter’s basilica and another of Michelangelo’s works of art la Pieta’ will leave you speechless. Explore St. Peter’s square and Bernini’s amazing use of  optical illusion which your guide will be happy to point out to you. After all of this returning back to the hotel.

The tour full day starts at your hotel where your local driver will pick you up.The departure from Rome will be at 9:00am and within about ( 45 minutes) will have conquest our destination,Tivoli. Our first stop will be Hadrian's villa, where the Emperor Hadrian ordered the construction of the Villa and supervised the work personally (118-138 D.C.). The construction was carried out in several successive phases; Hadrian's Villa consists of a group of monumental buildings, roads, sheets of water, baths, libraries, theatres and temples. After this we will visit Villa d'Este, in 1550 Cardinal Hippolyte d'Este, the son of Lucretia Borgia and Alfonso I d'Este, built Villa d'Este following the project of Pirro Ligorio.The Italian-style garden with its beautiful fountains is a splendid example of the Renaissance gardens' art and architecture. The most famous fountains are: the Fountain of the Bicchierone (Large Glass), the One Hundred Fountains, the Fountain of the Ovato, the Fountain of the Dragons and the Fountain of the Hydraulic Organ. At this point of the tour we suggest free time for shopping or lunch in a local restaurant  near the Temple of Sybil, dating from the II century B.C., is in Ionic style. It consists of a travertine base which supports the lateral walls with semi-columns. In the Middle Ages this temple was transformed into the church of St.George, no longer visible today. From the area of the temples (the ancient Roman acropolis) one can enjoy a beautiful view of Villa Gregoriana and of the Cascades located just underneath Ponte Gregoriano.After this we returning back to Rome.Through all this you will have a car or van at your disposal with your own personal driver.
